Tusk Casino

Tusk Casino is an international operator available in dozens of countries worldwide. As such, it lacks some of the functions, features, and payment methods that South African casinos have. Still, it’s worth your attention considering its game variety, attractive bonuses, and overall casino experience. Let's take a good look at what Tusk Casino can offer, its pros and cons, and everything you need to know about it.

About Tusk Casino

Tusk Casino is owned and operated by Alt.bet Exchange B.V, a company registered in Curacao. It operates under the Curacao eGaming license number No. 1668/JAZ. The casino was launched in 2020. Currently, Tusk operates internationally: it accepts players from every country except Australia, Belgium, Curacao, a handful of European countries, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Singapore, Türkiye, the US, and the UK. Tusk Casino does accept players from South Africa and deposits in ZAR.

Our expert opinion about Tusk Casino

Tusk has received generally positive reviews from its players. It has a decent game variety - certainly better than many of its South Africa-facing competitors. Note that not all of its games are available in South Africa, and sometimes you only find this out when you try to play them.

The casino has a modern, user-friendly interface, easy to navigate both on desktop devices and smartphones. Users generally praise the casino’s game variety, fast verification process, and fast payouts. On the other hand, some users had bad experiences with customer service.

Overall. Tusk is a decent casino. But, like with all offshore casinos, you should approach it cautiously, especially if you plan on playing to win since it doesn’t have a South African license.

Tusk Casino Bonuses

Let’s get straight to the point and talk about Tusk’s bonuses. The casino has quite a few listed on its website, more than enough to keep your virtual pockets filled every day of the week. But let’s start with the beginning: the bonus you can get before you even register.

Tusk Casino No-deposit Free Spins

At Tusk Casino, you’ll have a chance to play and win before even registering an account. To do this, you’ll need to spin the Wheel of Fortune before you register. If you tap the bonus icon on the left, the Wheel of Fortune is revealed and you can spin it once. You are guaranteed to get a reward: between 10 and 50 free spins on the Wild Spin slot machine by Platipus. It is a classic fruit machine with five reels, five jackpots, and a variety of bonuses and multipliers.

Tusk Casino No-Deposit Bonus

As you might expect, terms and conditions apply:

  • You’ll have 7 days to use up your free spins
  • You can cash out around R950 ($50 or equivalent)
  • The bonus comes with 50x wagering requirements and a cashout limit of up to 5x the bonus amount
  • There are almost 1000 games excluded - you can’t complete the wagering requirements playing these. Make sure to read the Terms and Conditions to find out which games these are.
  • All slots that feature free spins, bonuses, bonus rounds, extra wilds, and extra scatters are excluded from completing the wagering requirements.

Tusk Casino Limitless 20% R3000 Reload Bonus

Topping up your Tusk Casino account comes with a bonus, too: 20% up to R3,000. The casino’s Terms list no limits on how many times you can claim this bonus. The limitations and wagering requirements that apply to this reload bonus are the same as the ones for the welcome bonus.

Tusk Casino Cashbacks

Tusk offers you the opportunity to get back some of the cash you spend. Cashbacks are offered twice a week: on Saturdays and on Mondays.

20% Cashback Every Saturday

To claim this bonus, you will have to contact Tusk Casino support via Live Chat.

  • To get a cashback on Saturdays, your balance must be between R0 and R50
  • You can claim a maximum amount of R2,000
  • You can’t combine the cashback with deposit and reload bonuses
  • You have to play through the cashback amount 10 times
  • You can cash out up to 10x the value of the cashback

Weekly Cash Back Bonus on Mondays

To claim this bonus, you’ll need to have at least the equivalent of $50 (around R1,000) in the previous week. Your bonus is calculated based on the following formula: (deposits minus withdrawals minus any bonuses claimed)x10%. So, if you deposited R1000, claimed R200 in bonuses, and withdrew R500, you’re left with R300, and you are eligible for R30 cashback.

  • You won’t be eligible for a cashback bonus if your balance exceeds 10
  • The maximum cashback bonus amount depends on your tier (more on that later)

Tusk Casino payment methods

Tusk Casino is an international gambling operator. As such, it supports a variety of payment methods - but not that many South African ones.

Deposit methods

You can deposit funds to your Tusk Casino account in a variety of ways. Unfortunately, not many prepaid vouchers are supported by the casino. But it supports a few payment methods not available at its competitors.

Withdrawal methods

Once again, since Tusk is an international casino, it doesn’t support many South African banking methods. Actually, local bank transfer is the only one that’s not app-based or relies on a third-party service.

Withdrawal Limits

The maximum amount you can withdraw from your Tusk Casino account depends on your loyalty/VIP level. This limit applies to any payment method, and will be calculated in the amount’s equivalent in Rands:

TierAmount per payoutAmount per 24 hoursAmount per weekAmount per month
Bronze$/€1,000$/€1,000$/€4,000$/€16,000
Silver$/€2,000$/€2,000$/€8,000$/€24,000
Gold$/€5,000$/€5,000$/€15,000$/€45,000
Diamond$/€15,000$/€15,000$/€45,000$/€100,000

The minimum withdrawal amount is R1,000 (can be different for certain payment methods). Also, the maximum amount you can withdraw is set to 200 times your last deposit. To clarify the exact amount you can withdraw, make sure to clarify the situation with the Tusk Casino customer support before requesting a withdrawal.

Local Bank Transfer

To withdraw through a local bank transfer, you’ll have to provide the casino with the following information:

  • Bank name
  • Branch code
  • Account number
  • Beneficiary name

Tusk Casino will process the payment itself. Depending on where their bank is located, the transfer could take several working days. To be able to withdraw your winnings to your bank account, you will need to complete the level 2 KYC verification.

AstroPay, MuchBetter, Skrill

These are third-party app-based payment methods. In theory, as soon as Tusk Casino approves your withdrawal, the money will hit your account instantly. These withdrawals will most likely involve transfer fees.

Cryptocurrency through CoinsPaid or Finrax

Cryptocurrency transfers are instant. But, since they are processed through third-party operators, there can be fees involved.

KYC / FICA / AML

Before you can withdraw any funds from your Tusk Casino account, you will need to pass the casino’s KYC verification. This is a pretty standard procedure, a lot like FICA checks at licensed South African casinos. To verify your identity, you need to submit:

  • For level 1 verification:
    • A copy of your ID or passport
    • A masked copy of your credit or debit card
  • For level 2 verification:
    • A utility bill (confirmation of address)
    • A bank statement

Verifying your identity eliminates limitations from your account:

  • Without verification, you can only deposit the equivalent of $500
  • With Level 1 verification, you can deposit any amount
  • With Level 2 verification, you can withdraw winnings to your bank account

Tusk Casino VIP/Loyalty Program

Unfortunately, Tusk Casino’s website is not very helpful when it comes to its loyalty and VIP program. We know it exists, and it is on five tiers, because it is mentioned in the casino’s Terms and Conditions for withdrawals. But other than that, the site’s documentation is non-existent in this area.

Normally, loyalty schemes work like this:

  • You receive a number of loyalty points based on your activity
  • Tournaments and raffles can also get you loyalty points
  • You reach new tiers based on the number of loyalty points you generate each month
  • Loyalty points can be exchanged for bonus money, cash with no wagering requirements and/or other prizes
  • The top tier of the loyalty scheme is reserved for VIP players. This tier comes with extra benefits:
    • A personal account manager
    • Unlimited bonuses every day, week, and month
    • Rewards for your every action
    • Real-life rewards range from smartphones to holidays and more.
  • You need to maintain your VIP status to receive these extra benefits.

Tusk Casino Games

Casino games

Tusk is primarily an online casino, but it comes with a little something more: virtual sports. Its main attraction is its online casino filled to the brim with excellent games.

Casino

Tusk Casino has a collection of more than 7,000 online casino games, most of them online slots. Unfortunately, not all of Tusk’s games are available in South Africa due to licensing restrictions from the providers - the total number of games the casino has is closer to 10,000. The list of game providers whose games you can play at Tusk in South Africa is impressive:

Tusk Casino features some of the most beloved South African casino games. These are arranged in some very handy categories that will help you find what you are looking for:

Bonus Buy Slots

Bonus Buy is a popular feature in some online slot machines where you can pay a certain amount and instantly trigger the game’s Bonus or Free Spins feature. Tusk Casino has a collection of 130 Bonus Buy slots from providers like Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Red Tiger, and others.

Megaways Slots

Megaways is an exciting mechanic that adds an extra layer of volatility to online slot machines. Tusk Casino has a collection of over 150 Megaways slots from providers like Pragmatic Play, 1X2 Gaming, Red Tiger, iSoftBet, Microgaming, and PariPlay.

Win or Crash Games

This category contains almost 50 mini-games and crash games from a variety of providers. Among others, you can find popular games like Aviator here, along with many other crash games like Space Cat, Mermaid Hunter, AirCombat 1942, Vulkan Man Vegas or Maverick X.

Fishing Games

When it comes to fishing slot machines, you probably think of Big Bass Bonanza first. Well, you have a lot more to explore in Tusk Casino’s “Fishing” category, including the entire Big Bass series, Playtech’s Fishing Bonanza, Play’n GO’s Octopus Treasure, Thunderkick’s Beat the Beast: Kraken’s Lair, and many others, up to a total of 81.

Tusk Casino’s most popular games are listed here. The list changes constantly, but it always has something new you can explore.

Table Games

Tusk Casino has a collection of over 600 table games from providers like NetEnt, Play’n GO, Red Tiger or Platipus.

New Games

The latest additions to Tusk Casino’s game library. It’s not limited to slots or table games - every new game is listed here, no matter the type.

Jackpot Games

Tusk Casino has a huge number of jackpot games in its library. Unfortunately, many of them are not available in South Africa, including the top progressive jackpot games from Playtech, NetEnt, and Microgaming. But there are still more than 600 titles with jackpots to win that you can try. While the jackpots are not exactly life-changing, they are still great goals to play for.

Favourite Games

You can build a list of your favourite games. To do this, simply click the Heart (❤) icon on the game page. It enters the “Favorites” menu, so you’ll be able to access it quickly next time you want to play it.

Live Dealer Casino Games

Tusk Casino Live Dealer Games

Tusk Casino lists almost 1,000 live dealer games. Unfortunately, most of them are not available in South Africa - some of them return error messages about an unsupported territory, while others, are about an unsupported currency. The live dealer games we managed to play were from these providers:

  • Xprogaming
  • Medialive Casino
  • Lucky Streak
  • Vivo Gaming

To play South African live dealer games at Tusk Casino, here’s what you need to do:

  • Log into your Tusk Casino account
  • Select “Live casino” from the navigation menu
  • Open the “Provider” dropdown
  • Select one of the game providers above
  • Choose the game you want to play.

Virtual Sports

Tusk Casino has a Virtual Sports section in its navigation menu with 13 RNG-powered betting options from 1x2 Gaming and Playtech. Unfortunately, none of them work. The 1x2 Games titles return an error message about an unsupported jurisdiction, while Playtech’s Virtual Horse Racing simply didn’t work when we gave it a try.

Tusk Casino mobile app

Tusk Casino doesn’t have a native smartphone app. Instead, you can play it in a mobile browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or DuckDuckGo. To do this, simply navigate to tuskcasino.com, log into your account, and play. Tusk Casino has a fully smartphone-compatible, cross-platform website that’s easy to navigate and very responsive. You can play many of its games even without registering an account.

If you want to access Tusk Casino faster on your smartphone, you can install a shortcut to the casino website on your phone. You can do this on pretty much every mobile browser. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Chrome and Edge: Go to the browser’s hamburger menu (☰), and select “Add to Home Screen”
  • Safari: Navigate to the Tusk Casino website, tap “Sharing”, then “Add to Home Screen”
  • DuckDuckGo and Firefox: Open the browser’s menu (☰) and tap “Add to Home Screen”

Tusk Casino Terms and Conditions

Tusk Casino’s Terms and Conditions are decent, even if not perfect. In general, the terms are pretty clear, laying out any limitations and conditions for bonuses, deposits, withdrawals, and gameplay. There are, in turn, a few things that we don’t like about them:

One of the things that raised our eyebrows was the provision that “ Maximum withdrawable amount for regular accounts is last deposit X 200 (or x200 of the single bet winnings) - balances exceeding this condition shall be deducted from the account’s balance.” OK, this doesn’t apply to jackpot wins and provider-based promotions, like Pragmatic Play’s Drops & Wins. What’s worrisome is the provision that “ Once a player withdraws 200 times their last deposit (or x200 of the single bet winnings), the remaining balance will be deducted from their account.” This, as far as we can tell, means that, if you deposit R100 and win R25,000, with no bonuses and wagering requirements involved, you can only withdraw R20,000, and the remaining R5,000 will be deducted. At least for “regular” accounts - but the Terms don’t specify what a “regular” account actually means.

Another big shortcoming we came across in the casino’s Terms is the lack of details about the loyalty/VIP scheme. The tiers are listed among the terms referring to withdrawals, but nowhere else.

Tusk Casino Safety and Security

Tusk Casino uses industry-standard encryption to secure the players’ accounts. It requires email verification, and KYC verification to eliminate some restrictions. But the casino doesn’t have two-factor authentication (2FA), which we consider a downside.

Responsible Gaming

Tusk Casino claims to offer self-exclusion facilities accessible through a link on the website. Unfortunately, the link doesn’t show any - it takes us to the casino’s Responsible Gaming policy page. The casino states that players can request self-exclusion - most likely, this can be done through live chat.

Tusk Casino User Experience

The Tusk Casino website works like a charm. It is responsive, crisp, and has a modern, attractive design. It is pretty easy to navigate - it only has some issues when it tries to list too many games on a page. It works great on mobile, too - it shows that the designers have taken the extra time to build a good smartphone gaming experience.

We especially like the game categories in the navigation menu. We would like to see more of these.

Tusk Casino Customer Support and Contact

Tusk Casino’s FAQ section is thin, to say the least. The descriptions are often too short, lacking the details that you might need. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the FAQ, you can always reach out to the Tusk Casino customer support via:
